Government Affairs

The Michigan Venture Capital Association was originally created to provide a common voice for the Michigan venture capital industry. Today, the MVCA still makes it a commitment to deliver this goal for its constituents. In order to more effectively meet this goal, the MVCA created a Legislative Committee in 2005 to stay abreast of legislative developments affecting the private equity industry, both at the State and National levels. Our organization works with our members to create a stance on important government issues and effectively communicates our message to key government officials. The MVCA also collaborates with the National Venture Capital Association to ensure our legislative goals are consistent and the necessary outreach is achieved.
