Welcome to the
Michigan Venture Capital Association
The MVCA is a trade organization designed to bring together venture capital industry participants in the state of Michigan. The organization’s goal is to grow and sustain a vibrant venture capital community in Michigan. Our membership includes private and corporate venture capital firms, angel investors, and other entrepreneurial infrastructure participants, such as Universities, entrepreneurial and economic development organizations. The MVCA is a vehicle to bring together industry participants and to provide a concerted voice for Michigan's venture capital industry.

MVCA Venture Upstart Programs
The MVCA was awarded $2.1 million dollars by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to implement three programs aimed at meeting the MVCA's mission of growing and sustaining a vibrant venture capital community in Michigan. The goals for these programs include:

The development of the Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) Program and a CEO Placement Program results in experienced, serial entrepreneurs as CEOs of Michigan-based venture-backed companies.
The establishment of four new venture funds in the State through a Fund Development Program.
The completion of a Research Program providing significant information about the health of Michigan's entrepreneurial economy, and in particular its venture funds and venture backed companies.
