Who
We Are
The Michigan Venture Capital Association (MVCA) was established
in 2002 to fulfill its mission:
“to grow & sustain a vibrant venture capital
community in Michigan”
The MVCA was formed initially
so that a concerted voice would be available to the Michigan
legislature and Governor to influence policy decisions
that would impact venture capital firms and their objectives. Since
formation it has expanded its membership, evolved its Board, and focused
its efforts on the following four goals, to be achieved between 2006 and
2011:
- Michigan will have abundant and accessible capital
- Michigan will have abundant and accessible talent
- There will be many successful venture capital-backed companies based
in Michigan
- There will be many successful Michigan-based venture capital funds that
invest both in Michigan and nationally
