The MVCA was awarded a grant by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to implement Venture Upstart.
These are programs aimed at meeting the MVCA's mission to grow and sustain a vibrant venture capital community in Michigan. The Venture Upstart suite of activities consists of programs that assist entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, portfolio companies and angel groups.
- Executive in Residence Program provides experienced entrepreneurs an opportunity to join a venture firm.
- CEO Placement Program is increasing the number and quality of venture-backed executives in Michigan.
- MI Venture Fellows Program is creating the next generation of venture capitalists in Michigan.
- Angel Network Growth Program supports established angel groups in the state to attract more members and enhance deal flow.
